Hot Mess was born out of a love for thrifting, a passion for self-expression, and a desire to share the joy of vintage fashion with the world. I’m Anna, the creator behind it all. I'm 25 years old and originally from Helsinki, Finland. At 18, I moved to Copenhagen, where I spent five years soaking up the city’s unique style, discovering the hottest vintage stores, and falling in love with thrifting.
Two years ago, I landed in Geneva, and the Plainpalais flea market quickly became my happy place. At first, I thrifted only for myself, but I kept finding incredible pieces that deserved a second life—pieces that weren’t exactly my style but were too good to leave behind. That’s when the idea of Hot Mess was born.
What started as a small Depop shop turned into something much bigger—a passion project and a movement for those who dare to be bold, confident, and unapologetically themselves. Through Hot Mess, I want to spread the joy of thrifting and connect like-minded people across the world.
